As the Senior Project Manager for CloudM you will be responsible for all migration projects for direct customers and channel partners within North America & LATAM. Projects will vary in scale, complexity and geography but all will focus on migrations of data to Microsoft 365 and/or Google Workspace.
Your focus will be on delivering projects on time and within budget, and fostering collaborative and constructive relationships with customers and/or partners. You will be managing a number of projects at any one time so the ability to juggle multiple stakeholders and priorities is essential.
Acting as a Project Manager for larger corporate / enterprise scale projects as well as SMB, you will be confident at communicating with customers at all levels, and will be able to operate independently. You will be responsible for creating and managing project plans and forecasts for CloudM and for our clients, based on the service today and vision for the future.
You will be confident and capable of executing the plan and completing against set milestones and budgets.
We are looking for fun, organised and highly motivated individuals with a proactive approach and proven leadership skills.
You’ll work closely with Account Managers, Sales Architects and CloudM Deployment Specialists to ensure projects are clearly defined and delivered on time. You will also be an initial point of contact for any escalations on US based projects if/when they occur.
What you’ll do:
Reporting to the Project Delivery Manager you will ensure smooth delivery of the managed migration projects and will take ownership of the following:
Provide the main point of contact for customers for all large migration projects.
Proactively communicate and collaborate with a “customer first” mentality.
Prepare and maintain project plans including resource and cost estimates.
Identify Critical Success Factors for client satisfaction and achieve them through the project lifecycle culminating in high satisfaction scores.
Ensure clarity and precision in defining the scope of projects during initiation.
Plan, monitor and control multiple large scale cloud migration and build projects through all phases of the project lifecycle.
Maintain forecasts to complete and work with colleagues to ensure timely project reporting, billing of assigned projects and commercial outcomes.
Manage project issues and risks, including the development of issue resolution and risk mitigation plans. Deal with conflict and priority setting
Manage project dependencies with other project managers, clients and 3rd parties.
Demonstrate the ability to thrive within a fast paced, demanding environment whilst maintaining high standards and a customer centric approach.
Manage communications between Deployment Specialists and Customers.
Act as the initial point of escalation for all US based projects, with support from the UK based Project Delivery Manager where required.
Create a schedule of work for all migration projects within the team.
Manage communications between migration engineers and customers.
Maintain and monitor schedules, work hours, budgets and expenditures.
Organize, attend and participate in weekly Sales & Services meetings.
Document and follow up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
Ensure project deadlines are met and report slippage.
Identify and document project changes.
Work with the Delivery Manager to further develop existing project processes for all Migration projects.
Ensure projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
Assess and log project risks and issues and liaise with the engineering team through to resolution.
Ensure stakeholder views are managed towards the best solution.
Chair and facilitate meetings where appropriate and distribute minutes to all project team members.
Act as an initial escalation point for any issues with support from the Delivery Manager
Experience handling a high volume of work with varying levels of complexity.
Confident in communicating with customers at all levels.
Experience handling escalations from customers.
Proven ability to work independently and problem solve.
Experience working with technical teams on a daily basis.
Great management skills and the ability to understand and motivate people.
A working knowledge of IT to the extent that you are able to collaborate with technical specialists and take ownership of solutions.
Excellent communication skills when engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
A sound understanding at a basic level of core project financial disciplines such as tracking actual costs against plan and maintaining cost to complete estimates.
Experience in delivering large scale projects for external customers
Confidence in creating and delivering presentations to internal and external stakeholders
Experience in successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously
Experience of delivering large scale migration focussed projects would be highly advantageous.
A detailed knowledge of industry recognised project management methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile principles.
