Junior Software Developer (Manchester based)

CloudM provides one platform to get the most of Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 and other SaaS. Our platform has been used by over 40,000 organizations in 83 countries including the likes of LinkedIn, Uber, Netflix, Booking.com and Spotify.

In joining CloudM as a Junior Software Developer, you will take your first steps towards becoming an industry leader in Software Development and Cloud Computing.
You’ll gain exposure to cutting-edge technologies, placing yourself at the forefront of a field that’s constantly evolving. We have a team of very experienced Senior Software Developers who are always happy to share their knowledge and to be a sounding board for new ideas.
We’re a Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure practice, so you’ll gain a lot of experience in Google and Microsoft Cloud technologies and services, but you’ll also become proficient in either Java or C# programming languages and a wide range of open source tooling.
What you’ll do:
The first few months of your role will be focused on training - your goal will be to attain a sufficient level of programming experience in Java or C# to join one of our product teams. You’d then be engaged on projects within a product team to put your theoretical knowledge into practice taking you up to the end of your first year.
Following that, you’ll have the opportunity to focus on developing further as a Software Developer by taking on larger projects.
- Programming skills such as C#, C++ or Java
- Relevant work or placement experience
- Understanding of software methodologies
- An effective communicator with the ability to explain complex technical issues
- Team player but with the ability to work independently
- A passion for learning new technologies and skills
- A degree in a Computer Science or IT based subject
- Experience of programming in Python
- Knowledge of Source Control e.g. Git
